KB Zen Riding
KB Zen Riding is a program created by Kim Baker where the horseback riding instructor incorporates ancient horse people and yogic methodologies with the rider's presence, breath, and intention into the rider's soft communication with the horse. Contact us to learn more about our KB Zen Riding program.Adults
Lessons for adults include basic horsemanship skills like grooming, how to saddle, and overall care for first time horse owners. For adults that rode when they were younger and are now getting back into riding, Kim focuses on proper equitation of the rider as well as soft communication (light cues) between horse and rider. Kim Baker shows riders how to use their bodies to communicate and help direct their horse where they want to go.
Children
Lessons for children include safety around horses as well as basic horsemanship skills like grooming, how to saddle, and overall care in addition to ride time. Kim Baker’s program takes the youth rider through several levels to build their awareness and confidence, while teaching the basics of riding (cues, communication, direction and equitation).

What are people saying?
Tatiana and Alice – October 2010
"Thank you so very much for you patience and kindness and for sharing your knowledge with us and our horses!"
Alex Vaughan– March 2012
"I sincerely appreciate all the lessons you gave me and the skills that I have learned from you during those lessons. The skills took me to the YMCA camp in Grandby, CO where I spent most of my time as lead wrangler taking over most of the responsibilities when no one else would. Managing over 50 head, the barn and lessons twice a day from beginner to advanced, and trail rides. Some weeks I learned how to do riding drills with the Westernairs and even taught the drills to our kids at the camp when we hosted a rodeo. I know that without the skills I learned from you I would not be able to take on such a huge task, let alone have the confidence to do so. I am very glad that I was able to learn from your experience."
